Abule Ado Pipeline Explosion In  Festac Lagos, Properties Destroyed (Videos)

There have been a pipeline explosion in Abule Ado In Festac Lagos.

A pipeline reportedly owned by the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, in Abule-Soba community, FESTAC area of Lagos State, exploded this morning.

According to eyewitness reports, many residents were awakened from sleep by the loud explosion.

Some of them even scampered after hearing the loud explosion, out of fear that it was a bomb blast.

The explosion was so loud that residents of Surulere, Amuwo Odofin, Oshodi, Ikeja, Alimosho and environs felt the impact. The explosion left some of the windows shattered and ceilings pulled off.

Videos on Twitter show thick black clouds billowing from the scene of the accident. At least, this is the second major pipeline explosion that has rocked Lagos since the beginning of 2020.
