Popular Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, known professionally as Rema, in an interview with Capital Xtra talks about his life, relationship, family, how his music career started and his afrobeats style of music.
Rema said he stayed at Cotonou and moved to Ghana were he was open to Ghanaian music before finally moving to Nigeria.
During his early days, the dumebi singer said he was using downloaded beats when he arrived in Nigeria.
Rema Plans on Getting his song deep into the Latin Zone and India Zone.
“I will like to get to Zones not just English zone. I want to take Afrobeats to the next level. Why is only O2 Arena or a place in America, I want to Globalize Afro-beats. He added.
He also talked about how he got his mum a car at age 17 because he was tired of seeing his mother trek and was also trying to appreciate her for been strong after loosing his elder brother and father.
Rema said his dream car is a Tesla, black and tinted because it is futuristic.
Apart from music, the singer said he loves to draw and sketch stuff. He also said his best super hero is Batman, Bruce Wayne because he his smart.
Rema also speaks about how Dumebi song came in place and his past girlfriend, relationship and heartbreak. He said whatever relationship he get into, he would love it to last and probably prolong to marriage.
The singer, Rema said what he loves and attract him to a girl is how she speaks and the spirituality and he doesn’t like girls who talks too much, tweet too much, post too much.
He prefers dating a 1k follower girl or 500 follower or private page girl because he doesn’t like hyped up relationship and want it closed up. Lool… Rema also said he can’t find his girl in his DM, he prefer meeting a girl in a weird way.
The singer will be Clocking a year in the music industry on 22nd march 2020.

The rumor got a lot of reactions after going viral on social media. The news was proclaimed untrue and false by Rema’s management.
Rema said fans should expect so much great stuff for the rest of the year 2020.
“The music is already ready for 2020. I will just record more for 2021, 2022 and 2023. The foundation has been layed”. He added.
