38-year-old Isimaila Yakubu has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a fellow colleague, Kabiru Usman with a firewood.
The cattle owner was arrested by the men of the Amotekun Security agency after they came to Kabiru rescue at Sango Market.
Yakubu confessed that he hit the victim with a firewood more than 35 times on the leg. The victim has been rushed to a private Hospital, where he is presently receiving medical help.
“I was not feeling too well that evening. I was observing prayers when I felt someone behind me. From a far, I heard a voice of a woman, sometime later I heard a male voice.
“Then there was a grab on my throat.
“So I picked up firewood close to me to defend myself.
“I did not touch his head, I don’t know how he got the head injury. I only hit him on the leg because that is how we normally disable cows when we want to kill them, Yakubu said.
