  The Presidency has come up with reasons 35 aides attached to the office of the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, were dismissed during the week. A report emerged during the week indicating that over 30 aides attached to the VP had been sacked with their names and portfolios published.   A herdsman identified as Iliasu Abubakar has been remanded in Oke-Kura Correctional Centre in Ilorin, after being arraigned before a Kwara State Magistrate Court. The suspect who was arraigned before Magistrate Jumoke Bamigboye for culpable homicide reportedly confessed to killing his brother Isah Abubakar in Gwanara, Baruten Local Government area of the state for reportedly having an affair with his wife. “I Am Considering Standing Bail For Sowore” – Apostle Suleman Reveals

  The general overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman says he is considering standing as surety for Omoyele Sowore, convener of Revolutionnow movement. Sowore has been in detention since he was picked up by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) in August. He was first granted bail on the 4th of October by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, but his counsel, Mr Femi Falana described the conditions as too stringent and untenable. Petrol Tanker Falls In Onitsha, Residents Flee

A tanker loaded with Petroleum Motor Spirit, PMS, on Thursday afternoon fell into a ditch along Onitsha/Enugu expressway by Chipex Filling station, Onitsha, spilling its product. Though, there is no fire outbreak, but residents of Onitsha around the area have begun running away from the area to avoid an outbreak of fire. As at the time of filling this report, PMS is still spilling out of the fallen tanker, a source said. NYSC deploys 2, 200 prospective corps members to Kwara

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has deployed 2, 200 prospective corps members to Kwara for the one-year mandatory national service. The orientation course will take place at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Yikpata, Edu Local Government Area of Kwara. Mr Dipo Morakinyo, the NYSC Public Relations Officer in Kwara, in a statement issued on Thursday in Ilorin, said that the orientation course would hold between November 5 and November 25. He said registration of the prospective Corps members would take place on the 5th and 6th of November, 2019, at the orientation camp’s Multiple Purpose Hall, by 8 a.m daily.
