Couple held hands as they both died from coronavirus

A couple who were married for 48 years held hands as they both died from the deadly coronavirus. Johnny Lee Peoples, 67, and his wife, Cathy Darlene Peoples, 65, battled Covid-19 for a month at a hospital in Salisbury, North Carolina. The couple were moved in the same room so they could spend their final moments together. Johnny Lee Peoples and Cathy Darlene Peoples died on September 2. Mirror reported. A female Coronavirus patient who escaped from getting treatment was arrested on Saturday evening at the popular Oja-Oba market in Akure while selling second-hand clothes popularly known as ‘okrika’.  The patient, a female was said to be a trader selling second-hand clothes popularly known as ‘okrika’ in the market. The lady was diagnosed with covid-19 in Imo State before she travelled down to the Ondo State capital without submitting herself for treatment. A university student identified as Claire Natukunda has died at her boyfriend’s home after failing to return home ahead of the Covid19 lockdown. The student died in Maganjo, at her boyfriend’s house identified as Junju. She was reportedly two months pregnant. Junju was not at home when his 20 year old girlfriend died because he had walked to Kampala to look for money to help him take Claire to hospital. A medical doctor at the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan, has tested positive for Coronavirus. Governor Seyi Makinde who confirmed this in series of tweets he shared, said isolation and contact tracing have commenced. Does eating amala cure Coronavirus?, The Kwara State Government dismiss the rumours suggesting Amala as a cure to COVID-19. Dr Abubakar Ayinla, the Permanent Secretary, state Ministry of Health, dispelled the claims on Tuesday, April 14, in Ilorin during the daily routine meetings of the Medical Team of the Kwara COVID-19 Technical Committee in the state. Ayinla said that the state government has set up the Risk Communication teams, among others, to manage rumours and fake news circulating as regards COVID-19 in the state.
