David Pinney, who worked with both men at El Nuevo Rodeo, told CBS News that George Floyd and Derek Chauvin clashed while working security at the Minneapolis venue. Former Minneapolis Police officer Derek Chauvin who pressed his knee into George Floyd's neck has been charged with second-degree murder. The three other officers on scene of his killing, Thomas Lane, J. Alexander Kueng and Tou Thao have also been charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder, according to the sources.
