Young Student Commits Suicide By Taking Sniper After Failing JAMB

A student, Zainab has been reported to have taken her own life by drinking sniper after failing the 2020 Unified Tertiary Modified Examination (UTME), JAMB. Zainab has also been said to have been writing JAMB for quite a while before the suicide. According to the friend, Zainab was on her way to the hospital to see her pregnant aunt who was in labour, she decided to check her JAMB score, only for her to discover that she failed the exams again. Zainab reportedly bought sniper, went to the Mosque for prayers and took the poisonous substance.

JAMB Releases Official Date For 2020 UTME

The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) has announced the official date for the commencement of the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Ishaq Oloyede, the JAMB registrar, disclosed that UTME for 2020 will be between March 14 and April 4 He said this at a stakeholders’ meeting on Monday in Abuja, The Cable reports. According to him, “The UTME for 2020 will be between March 14 and April 4, noting that an optional mock examination for candidates would also take place on February 18, 2020. “Registration for the UTME would start on January 13 and end on February 17.”
