Woman Pours Hot Water On Her Step-Sister In Kogi

A woman identified as Khadija Dauda, is currently in the custody of the Kogi State Police Command for allegedly pouring hot water on her 14-year-old step-sister, Zainab Dauda. The woman was handed over to the police by the State government through the ministry for women affairs, which directed her arrest when the information on the development got to the ministry. The Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, Hajiya Fatima Kabir Buba, told journalists on Friday in Lokoja, that the accused carried out the act when she had misunderstanding with her step-sister, thereby causing severe burns on the girl. Kogi Businessman, Nicholas Ofodile Killed By Kidnappers

Kogi-based businessman and owner of popular chain of Chuks Supermarket in Lokoja, Kogi State, Nicholas Ofodile, has been killed by suspected kidnappers. According to reports, Ofodile ran into an armed gang operating along the Gegu/Koton-Karfe axis of the Kogi-Abuja expressway on Wednesday afternoon. The criminals and men of the Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) were engaging in a fierce gun battle when Ofodile drove into the crossfire. He was killed alongside two other persons. This incident is coming barely one week after eight police operatives, including the Divisional Police Officer, a lady police officer and two civilians were killed in Isanlu by suspected armed robbers.

Police Men Killed As Armed robbers Attack First Bank and Police Station In Isanlu, Kogi State

Isanlu Divisional Police Officer and some men of Nigerian police force have been confirmed dead during a bank robbery attack in Isanlu, the headquarters of Yagba East local government area of Kogi state. First Bank was also reported to have been affected during the attack in Isanlu, Kogi state. The number of police officers killed in the incident were yet unknown while some community members were reported to have been injured during the attack. Covid-19: Ex-Mountain Top University Students Donate 1000 Sanitizers To Kogi Communities (Photos)

Some Ex-student of Mountain Top University (MTU) shared free 1000 alcohol based hand sanitizers to Kogi communities to combat the coronavirus pandemic. Babalola Benjamin who finished as the Best Graduating Student from the University last year 2019, together with his team were seen sharing sanitizers to the rural communities and villages in their bid to preserve and impact lives during the Covid-19 period. At the time this humanitarian act was performed, Kogi State has not recorded any positive case of the coronavirus.
