LUTH Speaks On 18-Year-Old Sales Girl Raped By Dispatcher

Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) has reacted on allegation of allegedly refusing to treat an 18-year-old girl who was raped by a dispatch rider. Few days ago, LUTH was called out after a Nigerian on Twitter Temitope Bukola narrated how a dispatch rider allegedly raped one of her staff when he delivered an item to her shop in Lagos. The Nigerian lady said the Lagos University Teaching Hospital demanded that charges be dropped against the dispatch rider before she is offered post-exposure prophylaxis (PEP) treatment. Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) has been called out on social media after allegedly refusing to treat an 18-year-old girl who was raped by a dispatch rider. A lady said in a tweet: "A delivery man went to pick up from a shop and raped the sales girl because she was alone! A 68-year-old woman has been successfully delivered of twins (male and female) by doctors at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH).  In a statement released by the Chairman of LUTH's Medical Advisory Committee Prof. W. L. Adeyemo, it was gathered that the lady who got pregnant for the first time through In vitro fertilisation (IVF), gave birth to her babies on Tuesday April 14. Lassa Fever Outbreak Hits Lagos State, Patient In LUTH (Precautions & Emergency Numbers)

The Lagos state government says the state has recorded its first case of Lassa fever. In a statement released on Wednesday February 19th, the state Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi, confirmed that a patient is currently in isolation at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH.
