Man Sentenced To 30 days Imprisonment For Refusing To Wear Facemask

On Wednesday, A 45-year-old man Jonathan Ukonwe was sentenced by Osun State Magistrate court sitting in Osogbo, to 30 days imprisonment for resisting arrest and intentionally disobeying the constituted authority for not wearing facemask. The 45-year-old man was arraigned for assaulting a female operative of Amotekun Corps. The prosecutor, ASP Abiodun Fagboyinbo told the court that Jonathan assaulted one Meshack Funmilola (F) of Hunters Group of Nigeria by beating her up while performing her lawful duty on the enforcement of the use of facemask. Mayowa Adeyemo has been remanded in Ilesha Correctional Centre for allegedly battering his 18-month-old son with burning cigarettes. Two Suspected Ritualists Caught Stealing Female Panties In Osun

Two young men who specialize in stealing women's underwear, have been arrested after they had burgled a house and stole some female panties at Kajola Ajaba in Osun state on Saturday, May 23. The two-man syndicate, led by one Friday also known as 'frayo', had succeeded in stealing five female panties before they were nabbed by men of Amotekun Corps, state of Osun. Items recovered from the burglars include five female underwear and a small axe. They have since been handed over to the police.

A middle-aged woman, simply identified as Iya Ayo, was arrested for tying up her 10-year-old son, Ayo, in a sack and locking him up in a wardrobe for four days in the Fesojaye community, Owode, in Osun State. The woman reportedly tied up her son last Thursday until on Sunday May 16 when a neighbor heard his cry for help. The neighbor immediately alerted the leaders of the community who in turn alerted the police, The woman was arrested and her son freed.
