Notorious criminal, Bobrisky arrested in Rivers State

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested a notorious wanted criminal, Honest Digbara popularly known as Bobrisky who was accused of terrorizing some parts of Ogoni axis and being behind series of criminal activities in the area. Spokesman of the Command, SP Nnamdi Omoni disclosed this on Saturday morning, September 12, while showing the wounded suspect and that of his alleged second in command said to be his younger brother, at the command headquarters. According to SP Omoni, the suspect was arrested alive in the early hours of today, in a joint security operation with a local security outfit at Koro community in Tai local government area of the state.  Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike had earlier placed a N30 million bounty on the kingpin.

Mrs Chizoba Eke, who was declared missing in Rivers State, has been found in a well, days after she was abducted. Chizoba was recovered from a well on Thursday in an uncompleted building at Igwuruta community in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state. The mother of two, who was kidnapped from her home along with her six-month-old baby on Monday, was thrown into the well after severe beatings by her abductor. Luck, however, ran out on the suspect when he was intercepted with his victim’s baby by a team of policemen on a ‘stop and search’ operation at Omerelu, a boundary community between Rivers and Imo States. A Nigerian man named Tony Ejinduaka has gone over to Facebook to mourn his friend, Obinna Anumba, who just died of COVID-19 in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. According to Tony, he and late Obinna were classmates. He said until his death, Obinna was a banker in Port Harcourt. He wrote; "#Covid19, you are wicked!It is with great pain but with gratitude to the will of the Almighty God that the Excos and entire members of Ogssian class of 89 announce the untimely death of one of us, Obinna Anumba due to covid-19.Prior to his death, he was a staff of a Bank in Onne, PH River State. Gov Wike Arrest 14 Fulani Men Hidden In Trailers Conveying Cows (Photos)

Governor Wike was on full operation on the road last night to make sure the total lockdown which he ordered was been followed. The Rivers state governor caught and arrested 14 men, said to be Fulani herdsmen who hid inside trailers conveying cows from the North into the state. Nyesom Wike plans to auction the cows as he directed the security agents to make sure the 14 Herdmen get tested for coronavirus and be prosecuted. With Several violators and impounded cars which were arrested during the raid, Gov Wike also ordered the lock up of two ladies in the quarantine center after they were caught loitering during the strick lockdown. Gov Wike Orders The Lockup Of 2 Ladies In The Quarantine Center Caught Loitering Amid Lockdown (Video)

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike was on full road operation as he took over command on the streets of Port Harcourt enforcing the extreme lockdown. Several violators and impounded cars were arrested during the raid. Gov Wike also ordered the lock up of two ladies in the quarantine center after they were caught loitering during the strick lockdown. We could recall, the Governor ordered a total lockdown on Monday, May 4, 2020. Read (News Here). He also arrested some very important persons (VIPS), who he said were not on essential duties, but were allegedly moving around with their police escorts. The governor however allowed a pregnant woman who violated the lockdown order, on compassionate grounds. Watch Video Below:

A whale, basilosaurus was captured yesterday Agaja Seashore off the Coast of Finima in Bonny LGA by the confluence of the Atlantic Ocean. The creature was harvested for consumption by the locals without consideration of it’s health implications amid the coronavirus lockdown. Investigations are said to be ongoing to ascertain what is the killing fishes and washing them ashore. Rivers State Final Year Law Student Raped, Stabbed To Death

A final year student of Law Department in the Rivers State University has been stabbed to death in her apartment in Port Harcourt. The victim, who was identified as Matilda Itonyo Mark, was said to have been raped and subsequently stabbed by her assailants inside her apartment close to Eagle Island. 24-year old Matilda’s body was found in her pool of blood. An ambulance accompanied by security personnel was sighted at the scene of the incident, taking the corpse away from the scene. The Rivers state Police Command and the Management of the Rivers State University were yet to react to the incident at the time of this report.
