Controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo claims the former Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Joi Nunieh was rescued by Governor Wike after alleged assassination. Wike Rescues Former NDDC MD, Joy Nunieh From “House Arrest”

Governor Wike has rescued former Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Joy Nunieh from "house arrest".  We could recall, Joy Nunieh who is scheduled to testify before a house committee as part of the ongoing probe against NDDC on Thursday July 16, was stopped from leaving her home by policemen who stormed her apartment in the early hours of today.  Nunieh had also been enmeshed in a public face-off with Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio who she accused of embezzlement and sexually harassing her.  TVC reported that the Rivers state Governor forcefully gained entrance into Joy Nunieh's residence, ordered the police officers out and later drove off with her. Governor Nyesom Wike during an interview said that he doesn't regret demolishing two hotels in Rivers state after flouting his total lockdown order. Nigerians have been reacting after The Rivers state governor, Wike demolished Prudent Hotel and Etemeteh Hotel. Video Of Prodest Hotel In Eleme Demolished By Wike For Flouting Lockdown Order

Nyesom Wike, Governor of Rivers State has demolished Prodest (Prudent) Hotel at Alode in Eleme Local Government Area of the state for flouting lockdown order. Before his actions, he had marked Prudent Hotel and Etemeteh Hotel for demolition for allegedly flouting his government’s directive on the closure of hotels in the state. With Governor Wike present at the demolition site, The action was said to have been carried out at about 11:30 am alongside other officials of the Rivers State task force. Gov Wike Arrest 14 Fulani Men Hidden In Trailers Conveying Cows (Photos)

Governor Wike was on full operation on the road last night to make sure the total lockdown which he ordered was been followed. The Rivers state governor caught and arrested 14 men, said to be Fulani herdsmen who hid inside trailers conveying cows from the North into the state. Nyesom Wike plans to auction the cows as he directed the security agents to make sure the 14 Herdmen get tested for coronavirus and be prosecuted. With Several violators and impounded cars which were arrested during the raid, Gov Wike also ordered the lock up of two ladies in the quarantine center after they were caught loitering during the strick lockdown. Gov Wike Orders The Lockup Of 2 Ladies In The Quarantine Center Caught Loitering Amid Lockdown (Video)

Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike was on full road operation as he took over command on the streets of Port Harcourt enforcing the extreme lockdown. Several violators and impounded cars were arrested during the raid. Gov Wike also ordered the lock up of two ladies in the quarantine center after they were caught loitering during the strick lockdown. We could recall, the Governor ordered a total lockdown on Monday, May 4, 2020. Read (News Here). He also arrested some very important persons (VIPS), who he said were not on essential duties, but were allegedly moving around with their police escorts. Governor Wike has announced a 24-hour total lockdown and a dusk-dawn curfew on Port Harcourt and Obio/Akpor Local Government Areas and also a Reward 100,000 naira to whistleblowers who expose lockdown violators in a combat against the spread on the coronavirus.  In a broadcast on Monday May 4th, Governor Wike said: “Consequently, we have decided on the extreme measure of placing the entire Obio/Akpor and Port Harcourt City Local Government Areas under a 24 hours total lockdown from Thursday 7thMay 2020 until further notice.
