Daniel Craig is stepping down as James Bond 007, but who will be the next? Twitter said Idris Elba is too old to be bond.

Daniel Craig, best known for portraying James Bond, will step down as the spy after the film No Time to Die after 15 years.

the English actor is known for roles including Stringer Bell in the HBO series The Wire, DCI John Luther in the BBC One series Luther, and Nelson Mandela in the biographical film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom (2013).

He was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Miniseries or Television Film four times, winning one and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award five times.

Elba also appeared in Ridley Scott’s American Gangster (2007) and Prometheus (2012). Elba portrayed Heimdall in Thor (2011) and its sequels Thor: The Dark World (2013) and Thor: Ragnarok (2017), as well as Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015) and Avengers: Infinity War (2018).

On Twitter, there has been a lot of speculation about who will be the next James Bond. Some Netizens think Idris Elba is perfect for the role while some said he is too old.

“Idris Elba is perfect for bond in my eyes. Henry Golding would be my second choice.” A woman said on Twitter. “Rege Jean is good ( and lush) but I can’t quite picture him as bond and I don’t think I can see past superman with Henry Cavill.. but I could be wrong”.

Another said: “Id love to see Idris Elba as Bond but I can’t see it happening, unfortunately.”
