Tragic Shooting on Dan Ryan Expressway Leaves One Dead in Chatham
A fatal shooting occurred on the Dan Ryan Expressway in the Chatham neighborhood on Thursday.
Illinois State Police responded around 5:15 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the northbound lanes of I-94 between 79th and 83rd Streets.
The victim was transported to Comer Children’s Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The Cook County medical examiner’s office identified the victim as Tyjon Bush, though their age and gender were not disclosed.
No further details are available as the investigation continues.
