A 2nd grader speaking against mask mandates has got Twitter reacting
Owen, a 2nd grader, was one of the first public speakers to speak out against the mask mandate. For him, his father is holding the microphone.
“I’m adorable. Why would you want to cover this up?” He says speaking against wearing masks. 9News reporter Marc Sallinger shared on Twitter.
“It’s Christmas. Can’t our present be no mask?”
The Douglas County Board of Education is meeting to discuss the possibility of removing the mask mandate from DougCo schools. Three of the four board members are wearing masks. This is a newly elected board that has fought against mandates and is more conservative than previous boards. For public comment, 98 persons signed up.
