EPL lovers all over the world are at the moment witnessing a pause in happy moments. While some were eager to see their team play and hopefully get a win to go top of the league table.

On the other hand, some EPL fans are not so happy with the performance of the team they support and are also hoping to see improvements.

Many across the world have predicted outcomes of EPL games for this weekend and also placed bets accordingly. In all of these others think the death of Queen Elizabeth II should not be pushed aside as nothing happened.

In no doubt, this is a mark of respect to honour her extraordinary life and contribution to the nation.

A statement was released on the official Premier League website stating why football games for the weekend including Monday evening’s game has been postponed.

Richard Masters, English Premier League Chief Executive, said: “We and our clubs would like to pay tribute to Her Majesty’s long and unwavering service to our country.

“As our longest-serving monarch, she has been an inspiration and leaves behind an incredible legacy following a life of dedication.

“This is a tremendously sad time for not just the nation, but also for the millions of people around the world who admired her, and we join together with all those in mourning her passing.”

This also follows the approach that The FA and EFL will take with their competitions this weekend.

The website also stated that further updates regarding the English Premier League fixtures during the period of mourning of the Queen will be provided in due course.
