Fire guts INEC Office In Ondo, card readers destroyed (Video)

There have been a fire outbreak at The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office, ondo, on Thursday with card readers destroyed. The container housing the smart card readers to be used for the October 10 governorship election in Ondo state has been gutted by fire on Thursday September 10. The cause of the fire is unclear. An eyewitness claimed a ballot box was snatched by the Ondo State commissioner for works, escorted by mobile policemen in Akure-North Local Government yesterday. Violence was recorded at Saturday’s local government election in Ondo State. Ballot boxes were snatched in some local government areas which resulted in injuries and damage of properties. A female Coronavirus patient who escaped from getting treatment was arrested on Saturday evening at the popular Oja-Oba market in Akure while selling second-hand clothes popularly known as ‘okrika’.  The patient, a female was said to be a trader selling second-hand clothes popularly known as ‘okrika’ in the market.
