A Louisiana high school student identified as Larrianna Jackson has been arrested for punching his 64-year-old teacher for a TikTok challenge.
Larrianna Jackson, 18, was charged with felony battery of a school teacher and taken to the St. Tammany Parish Jail.
The incident was captured on video, where the teacher is seen sitting at her desk talking to Jackson, who then allegedly punches the woman, causing her to fall. Covington Police Department said.
Authorities say Jackson continued to violently punch the woman with her fist.
Due to injuries sustained by the attack, the teacher had to seek medical attention at a local hospital. Police added.
Officers learned that this violent attack by Jackson may have been prompted by a viral social media application known as Tik-Tok. Evidently, users on the app have deemed it to be a challenge to damage school property and attack teachers.
Jackson has been transported to St Tammany Parish Jail where she will await prosecution.
This matter is still under investigation and more arrests for forthcoming. Police said.
