Manchester City 6-3 Manchester United: ‘a dream come true’ – Phil Foden after hat-trick
Manchester City thrashed Manchester United on derby day, with Erling Haaland and Phil Foden scoring hat-tricks.
“It’s a dream come true, playing in the Manchester Derby being a City fan.” Foden said.
“Me and Erling [Haaland] are finding the connection now. It’s a pleasure.”
The 22-year-old scored either side of Haaland’s quick double to put City up 4-0 at the break.
Antony pulled one back for the visitors before Haaland and Foden completed their trebles.
Although Anthony Martial scored a late brace, Foden believes City’s hunger, desire, and clinical touch were the difference.
“I feel like we clicked,” he admitted. “Our determination from kick off was right at it and we finished our chances.
“I think we get one match ball each!”
