A woman was fatally shot in Washington Park on Chicago’s South Side on Sunday night. She has been identified as Tiffany Ynv Butler.

Tiffany Butler, 41, was shot in the neck and chest in the 6200 block of South Michigan Avenue around 5:30 p.m., according to police. She was initially reported in critical condition and taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where she died a short time later.

“At a loss of words, Rest in paradise cuz. Prayers to her children and our family in Chicago, Cleveland and all over the world”, A family wrote on Facebook.

A friend also said; “Lost for words I’m hurt I still can’t believe this …the last time I saw you you gave me the most biggest hug we had a talk and you told me don’t be a stranger keep in touch before then I hadn’t seen you since I was a kid I wish we hung out more and spent more time you were a beautiful person you will forever be missed rest up cousin Tiffany love you always”.

Another said; “Woke up this morning with news that I was not expecting to read or hear bout…. God has received another Angel.R.I.P Tiffany Ynv Butler .. please keep her Kids in your Prayers I’m going to miss you Friend”.

No offenders are in custody and the case is still under investigation.

In the past few days, there have been shooting incidents in Chicago. A 16-year-old teen was shot dead last night in north suburban (Des Plaines).
