Who is Lil Kso? Teen Shot Dead in Chicago’s South Side

15-year-old Kenwon Van Pelt, also known as “Lil Kso,” has been identified as the victim in a fatal shooting that occurred inside his home on Chicago’s South Side.

On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, around 11:35 a.m., Chicago Police responded to reports of a shooting at a residence in the 6700 block of South Parnell Avenue.

Officers found the teen with a gunshot wound to the head. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Kenwon’s family has confirmed his identity and the tragedy has left the community in mourning. Known locally as “Lil Kso,” the 15-year-old’s death has sparked calls for answers and justice as police continue their investigation.
