Bruno Lage: Wolves sack coach after defeat by West Ham
Wolves have fired head coach Bruno Lage following their relegation-threatened defeat at West Ham on Saturday, confirmed by Portuguese press.
Under the Portuguese, Wolves have won just one and lost nine of their last 15 Premier League games.
“The only thing I can say is that I’m sorry about the situation,” Lage said in his final post-match news conference as manager.
“We’ve tried to solve these little problems we have and at the moment we aren’t getting points or goals, but we are working hard for them.”
Wolves’ next Premier League manager will be Terry Connor, who took over in 2012.
